Japanese volunteers provide personal language instruction support for foreign residents who need to learn Japanese.
This service introduces Japanese teaching volunteers to accommodate the schedules of foreign residents who wish to learn the language.Lesson contents and methods are decided in discussion with the Japanese volunteers, who will answer to the needs of the learners as much as possible.
Generally, lessons are offered for about one or two hours every week. As most volunteer teachers live in Mitaka City, lessons are usually held at the MISHOP lounge space or locations nearby.
Those who wish to learn must register in person at the MISHOP Office. The registration fee is 1,000 yen.
MISHOP requests prospective students to wait about one month for this service to begin after they register.
