Member-oriented Activities (for the Study of Foreign Languages)

EES - ENJOY ENGLISH SPEAKING MISHOP members initiate their own groups and carry out activities to promote learning about foreign languages.

●Sarangbang (Korean)
 This is an intermediate level class for reading and speaking Korean. The class also aims at exchanging information with Korean students and improving the participants' ability to appreciate Korean films without the help of subtitles. Everybody is always welcome to attend as an observer as well.

●RYUEN-Kai (Inactive)
 Mishop’s Ryuenkai is currently seeking new members who wish to study Chinese language(Mandarin) for the first time.
The group is focusing on studying basic Chinese language skills e.g. appropriate pronunciation, grammar and greeting words like “你好Ni-hao” “再见Zai-jian”etc.

●Let’s Enjoy Current English (Inactive)
 The aim of this club is to improve English reading, writing, and listening skills. We have fun studying English by using materials such as easy samples of current English writing, videos, and CDs. Visitors are always welcome.

●Let’s Read “TIME” Club
 This club is for persons at fairly advanced levels of English as its activities involve reading articles from Newsweek and Time. Participants comprehend and analyze magazine articles given out beforehand with the aim to understand their background and the world in general. Participants take turn in leading the talks, but this does not mean that there is any obligation to do so. Anyone is welcome to just come and listen.

●Women’s Reading Club (Inactive)
 This is a reading group where we leisurely read English books selected by the members and then discuss the contents of books and our feelings about them from our women’s perspectives.
